We’re ex-pats in Houston. Not unusual at all, in fact, pretty common. We’re British ex-pats, we’re middle aged.  God, we sound boring.

But this is our first time. We’re ex-pat virgins.

Our philosophy is ‘bring it on’. Let’s get on with whatever life brings and live it to the full.

Not all plain sailing by any means. What Bill Bryson said is true:

“When you go live in another country, some things are better, some are worse and there’s nothing you can do about it”.

So true.

We’re lucky to be here and blessed to be able to experience daily life as an adventure. It’s much like being a child again where you’re bombarded with new experiences all the time. Until you are about twenty-something. And get into that rut of life.

So we’re out of the old rut for a while and travelling a very different road, albeit a super-speed highway, at supersonic speed.
